The Asia cup tournament was started in the year 1983-1984 to promote cricket in Asia. The tournament till 2018 is conducted 14 times.

The INDIAN and Sri Lankan  Teams are leading in winning. India wins 7 times so far while Sri Lanka wins 5 times so far while PAKISTAN wins 2 times. The Bangladesh team qualify for the final two times but lost one time against Pakistan in 2012 and another time against India in 2018.
