In Cricket a hat-trick Occurs When a bowler dismissed three batsmen in a row on consecutive three balls. If bowlers took wickets on the last two balls of the overs then and his over ended then on the first ball of his next over if he got a wicket then he will score a hat-trick.

Only Wickets attributed to the bowler count towards a hat-trick, and no runs will count on these deliveries.

Hat-tricks are rare in Cricket, and if a bowler got a hat trick then he becomes a hero in the cricket world.

The term Hat-trick is also sometimes used to mean winning the same competition three times in a row. Like Australia had won Wold Cup in 1999 against Pakistan, also in 2003 and 2007.

Hat Trick In Test Cricket :

The first Hat -trick was achieved by Fred  Spofforth for Australia against England in 1879 when he dismissed three batsmen on three consecutive deliveries.

There have been 44 hat -tricks in test Cricket History. The only Cricketer to achieve two hat-tricks are Australia's Hugh Trumble against England in 1902 and 1904.

Hat-Trick in ODI:

In One Day International ( ODI) 49 hat-trick have been achieved by different

 Crickets. Jalal Ud Din was the first cricket in ODI Cricket history who took hat trick. He achieved a hat trick for Pakistan against Australia in 1982.

Sri Lanka's Lasith Malinga is the only bowler to take three hat-tricks in ODI.

 Four players Waseem Akram (Pakistan), Saqlin Mushtaq (Pakistan), Chaminda Vas (Sri Lanka), and Kuldeep Yadav (India) have taken at least two ODI  in their careers.

Double Hat Trick In Cricket :

In Australia, four wickets in four balls are sometimes referred to as a double hat-trick. It's mean that if a bowler has done hat--trick obtained three wickets on three balls when he took wickets on the fourth ball then it will be called Double Hat-Trick.

Hat-Trick that Will not count:

If a fielder Consecutively out three batsmen by run out then no hat-trick will be awarded to the Fielder. And it will not be called Hat-Trick.

It is very rare in Cricket that fielders out three batsmen by running out.
